What K's up to

Today, I was feeding Kaimana snacks in the car (she's still rear facing) and I was not moving quick enough for her.  She reached out her little hand and said "O.K.!" as in "I'm ready for more, mommy, pay attention!"

At 14 1/2 months, Kaimana has really made some big changes and is on her way to being a big girl!  Here are a few things she's done/been doing recently:

• Learned to sleep through the night in her own room
• Consistently lets both daddy and mommy put her to bed

• Solidified a special relationship with her bear

• Learned lots of words (some of which are ok, Whoa!, bye bye, hi, hey, bear, bath, daddy, mama, milk, dog, bark, moo, meow, quack, bird, hoohoohoo (monkey), socks, wow, moon, trash, toes, walk, car, ball, bike, tickle, no, nononono...)

• Loves hiking and discovering things (she sees EVERYTHING that doesn't belong including trash, sewer covers, trash, sprinklers, trash, and storm drains...then touches or picks it up)
• Climbs up and down stairs on her own

• Loves going down slides by herself

• Continues to adore water including the ocean, the pool, and the bath

• Pushes anyone's and everyone's stroller, cart, and walker if she's able to wedge herself between them and the object of her attention

• Runs like the wind when she gets outside (she loves being outside)
• Makes her animals and dolls kiss and makes the kissing sound

We absolutely adore this sweet being and are enjoying her even more now that she's sleeping through the night!
